LEE COUNTY

The Lee County Southeast Advanced Water Reclamation Facility (SEAWRF) is a transformative infrastructure project led by Lee County Utilities, designed to deliver an initial treatment capacity of 6 million gallons per day—with planned expansion to 10 MGD—to support the region’s rapid growth and long-term water sustainability goals. Located along the Alico Road corridor in Fort Myers, the facility represents a critical investment in advanced wastewater treatment, water reuse, and environmental stewardship, with construction progressing toward an anticipated completion in 2029.

EC Concrete is proud to play a key role in the construction of this large-scale, highly technical facility, contributing its expertise in structural and civil concrete solutions essential to advanced water treatment infrastructure. Projects of this magnitude require precision execution across a wide range of reinforced concrete elements—including process basins, clarifiers, equipment pads, foundations, and structural slabs—all of which must meet stringent performance, durability, and regulatory standards. EC Concrete’s involvement underscores its ability to deliver high-quality workmanship in demanding municipal environments where accuracy, coordination, and schedule adherence are critical.

As the SEAWRF incorporates complex treatment systems such as biological nutrient removal, filtration, and disinfection, the supporting concrete structures must be engineered and constructed to exacting tolerances to ensure long-term operational integrity. EC Concrete’s team brings extensive experience in water and wastewater construction, enabling seamless collaboration with general contractors, engineers, and municipal stakeholders. This ensures that each phase of the concrete scope is executed efficiently while maintaining the structural reliability required for continuous plant operations.
